Our Background

Lashley Tree Service was started in Racine, Wisconsin in 1955 by Dale’s father, Don. With the help of his five boys, Don Lashley’s small business eventually became the best-known tree service in the Racine area, serving the tree care needs of thousands of the area’s residences. It also served the area’s businesses and major corporations such as S.C. Johnson and Son, as well as the area’s municipalities such as Mt. Pleasant. In Racine, with his family, Dale provided a full range tree care including trimming, removing, stump grinding, feeding, transplanting, and storm damage clean up.

Dale’s expertise in tree work lead him to a position as a forestry crew foreman doing electrical line clearance for Wisconsin Electric Power Company. There he supervised and performed electrical line clearance with a high emphasis on property and personal safety including leading regular safety meetings.

While Dale lived in Wisconsin, he attended Concordia University near Milwaukee. Dale was hired by his college to trim their trees while he attended college there. When Dale moved to St. Louis, Missouri to further his education, he again hired by his university for the care and trimming of all the trees on the 72-acre campus in St. Louis, Missouri.
